Brisbane were always going to be a tough team to beat but what pleased you the most on Sunday?
I think the way we started was really pleasing as we knew Brisbane were going to come out hard and fast after the week before so our ability to play some good footy early on against a great team was a really good sign.
And what do you think was the biggest learning to come from the game?
That you can’t just play one good quarter and expect to be in a game. Brisbane stepped it up from the second term onwards and we spent a lot of time chasing.
Just one match to go for the season. What are you hoping to get out of our match against Waalitj Marawar?
We really want to finish strong and take in some form for next season. We are looking to get back to our brand of footy and showcase that over four quarters.
Who are the players that have impressed you the most this season?
Players like Sofia Hurley and Alice Mitchell have been really impressive this season with their level of consistency. No matter the challenge, they have been able to play their role for the team on a consistent basis.
And who are you most excited to see grow and develop their game over the off-season and next year’s pre-season?
I’m really looking forward to seeing what Cynthia Hamilton can do over the off season to take her game to the next level. As well as our debutants this season having another preseason under their belts.
