The Sydney Swans return home to Henson Park for the final match of the AFLW season to take on the West Coast Eagles - Waalitj Mararwar - on Saturday afternoon.

The 15th placed Swans will be looking to end the season on a high after a disappointing campaign, having notched up just two wins for the season.

West Coast’s run of form also hasn’t been what they would have hoped, with the Eagles sitting in 12th position on the ladder having lost their past four matches.

The Swans are coming off a 68-point loss at the hands of Brisbane while West Coast were no match for Geelong in Round 9 losing by five goals.

The Swans have made a raft of changes for the final match of the season, welcoming back Ruby Sargent-Wilson, Holly Cooper and Lara Hausegger among others, while Alice Mitchell misses with a finger injury and Maddy Collier is suspended.

For the travelling Eagles, Evangeline Gooch, Belinda Smith and Sasha Goranova return while Beth Schilling misses due to concussion and Verity Simmons and Octavia Di Donato are omitted.

Sydney coach Scott Gowans is wary of a West Coast team who he thinks can be dangerous on their day.

“They've done very well. Again, structurally [Daisy’s] a very sound coach and she's very keen to take the game on, which is great because that's what we do as well,” Gowans said.

“Both sides are on a journey of learning, and I suspect in another three- or four-years’ time we'll hopefully both be competing for finals, so really looking forward to hit out against them.

“They've got some great talent on that list and a lot of young talent. They've built it up and they're a formidable force if they get going.”

Gowans also said he’s looking forward to returning to Henson Park.

“I think it's one of our favourite grounds to go to. Hopefully everyone turns out and we can put on a bit of a show and the weather holds. There's nothing better than seeing the crowd on the hill cheering us on,” Gowans said.
