The Volkswagen Footy Assist program is back for another year with two x $10,000 grants and six x $5,000 grants up for grabs for community AFL clubs across Australia.

Established in 2015, Volkswagen has been giving back to communities across Australia with now over $240,000 being awarded to more than 71 local AFL clubs nationally. The crucial funds helps assist with facility improvements, new footballs, guernseys, training equipment or subsidising registration fees. 

Footy clubs are the heart of many communities around Australia, and we need to make sure they survive to continue to grow the game of AFL, nurture the development of future AFL talent and keep thousands of footy dreams alive.

To apply, clubs will need to explain how the program could benefit not only their club but community as well. For the chance to win a share of $50,000 VISIT HERE and fill out the online form by December 3, 2024.

What is the Volkswagen Footy Assist Program?

The purpose of the Volkswagen Footy Assist program is to provide AFL clubs all across Australia the opportunity to win a share of $50,000. Through this program AFL clubs can use the money for facility upgrades, equipment, training programs or subsidising registration fees.

Why have the Sydney Swans created the Volkswagen Footy Assist program?

The Sydney Swans along with Major Partner Volkswagen are committed to growing the game of AFL nationally and acknowledge the role community footy clubs play.

Who can enter?

Any local AFL club that is a non-professional and not for profit organisation in Australia.

What are some tips to help with my entry?

The grants will be awarded to clubs that are deemed to be most in need of assistance as determined by the Sydney Swans and Volkswagen. The eligibility of each application will also be reviewed against the Terms and Conditions.

What can I do with the grant if I am successful?

If you are successful in receiving grant funding you can use the money for any of the following: facility upgrades, equipment, training programs or subsidising registration fees.

What are the application timelines?

Applications will be open from now Friday 8th November 2024 until Tuesday 3rd December 2024.
