Exciting utility Braeden Campbell has recommitted to the Sydney Swans for a further three seasons, keeping him in the red and white until at least the end of 2028.

Campbell, a QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate, was drafted by the Swans in 2020 with pick no. 5 and made his debut in the opening round of the 2021 season. The 22-year-old has since gone on to play 71 AFL games, including 23 games in 2024.

Sydney Swans Executive General Manager Football – AFL, Leon Cameron, said he is excited to see what Campbell can produce for the club going forward.

“Braeden is a very popular member of the playing group and it’s great to see him rewarded for his hard work,” said Cameron.

“We feel he has improved year on year since he began his AFL career, and as we saw in the finals series last year, had a real impact playing on a wing and forward with his pace and kicking ability.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him cement himself in the 22 as we feel he has a very bright future here.”

Campbell said he loves the club having been at the Swans from such a young age, and the decision to sign on was an easy one.

“It means the absolute world to me, I’m so happy to be here for another three years,” said Campbell.

“I’ve been in Sydney my whole life, so I wanted to keep it that way. My heart is in Sydney and I’m very happy pen is on paper.

“Its massive to build the team that we have. With boys like Errol (Gulden) and Logan (McDonald) and myself in the same draft year, we will be around for a long time after all just re-signing,” said Campbell.
