The Sydney Swans have officially kicked off the season with the club’s 2025 AFL Guernsey Presentation night, held at the Basil Sellers Richard Colless Centre, Sydney Swans HQ.
The event comes just 19 days before Sydney’s Opening Round match against Hawthorn in front of an expected bumper crowd at the iconic SCG.
It was an historic night for the club as seven players were presented with their first red and white guernsey from Bloods Legend, Peter Bedford.
New additions Jesse Dattoli, Ned Bowman, Riley Bice, Riak Andrew, Blake Leidler, Ben Paton and Tom Hanily were all on hand to receive their new jumpers.

The evening also saw long time Swans supporter and benefactor Jason Kimberley named as the club’s 2025 No. 1 Ticket Holder.
It was the first guernsey presentation address from senior coach Dean Cox, who spoke of learning, challenging and adapting as he makes his mark as the coach of a team that he believes is capable of “wonderful things”.
"To Jesse Dattoli, Ned Bowman, Riley Bice, Riak Andrew, Blake Leidler and Ben Paton – officially, welcome to the football club," Cox said.
"I congratulate you on receiving your first Sydney Swans jumper tonight.
"I still remember receiving my first, and how memorable the night is, for you and your families. Please cherish this occasion – that red and white jumper means a lot to a lot of people."
Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley said there is plenty to look forward to in the season ahead.
“We’re coming off a year of record members and record crowds that made for an electric atmosphere at the SCG. We’re determined to make that experience even better this year as we look to welcome even more members and fans to our games,” Harley said.
“To the members who have already joined us for the journey this season I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you from everyone at our club. We have an exciting list in both our men’s and women’s programs and we can’t wait to see what they can achieve this season.”
