The AFL has confirmed the 2025 Smithy’s VFL fixture, with plenty of opportunities for fans to see the young, up-and-coming Swans in action.
The VFL home-and-away season will consist of 21 rounds, with every team to play 18 matches.
The Swans' fixture is headlined by two games at the SCG which will be played as double headers with the Club’s AFL side.
Sydney will open its 2025 campaign with a match against Collingwood at Victoria Park on Saturday, March 22.
Members and fans can stay around after the Round Six Sydney Derby to see the VFL side take on cross-town rivals GWS in a curtain closer at the SCG at 4.35pm.
The side will also play in a curtain raiser at the SCG on Friday, May 16 ahead of the senior side’s clash with Carlton, Marn Grook at the SCG, in Round Eight.
Other fixture highlights include an interstate AFL curtain raiser in Round Five against the Gold Coast Suns at People’s First Stadium and a clash against last year’s VFL Premiers Werribee at Blacktown International Sportspark in Round Four.
The VFL will break for a League-wide bye the weekend beginning April 12 during the AFL’s Gather Round and the Swans will also have byes in Rounds 2, 12 and 20.
Dates, times and venues for Rounds 14 to 21 will be confirmed after the corresponding rounds of the AFL fixture are announced later in the year.
Smithy’s VFL Grand Final will be played on the weekend of September 20 to 21.
All matches in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL season will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
