Sydney VFL Coach Jarrad McVeigh says his side is ready to bounce back following a disappointing loss to North Melbourne two weeks ago.
Despite a fast start, the Swans were overrun by the Kangaroos, going down by 49 points. McVeigh said the side had worked hard over the bye and were ready to make amends this weekend.
"That was a disappointing performance, we lacked a lot of energy, we lacked a lot of connection," McVeigh said.
"That last quarter, we weren't playing great footy, but we did have a chance to win the game and then they kind of outworked us and were a lot harder than us, so that was a disappointing finish for us.
"But coming off the bye this week, we've had really strong two weeks of training and we come up against last year's Premiers, which is another tough task for us, which is fantastic."
McVeigh said his team were well aware of the challenge the reigning Premiers Werribee posed.
"They're a really well-drilled side, they're really good in defence and they work the ball around with uncontested marks, so that's something that we'll have to counteract," McVeigh said.
"They're just a really hard and big-bodied side who have great experience, they've been one of the top teams in the competition for a long time and there's no secrets to what they do, they are well-drilled, well-coached, so we're going to have a tough ask.
"It'll be nice to be playing back in Sydney, it's been a little bit disjointed with a couple of byes early on, but the players are ready to go, ready to bounce back into some form and hopefully get our first win of the year."
