Open Training on the Gold Coast
Catch the team in action on the Gold Coast this weekend, as the Swans prepare to take on the Gold Coast Suns.
Open Training will run from 2.30-3.30pm on Saturday, April 26 at Peoples First Stadium. Gates will open at 2.15pm, enter via gate 6 - current stadium conditions of entry apply. Free parking is available in the red carpark, located behind the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre and no catering is available for purchase onsite.
Dean Cox: "He's got a great footy brain, it keeps him attached to the playing group, but I'd rather see him running around than sitting next to me."
Senior Coach Dean Cox spoke to journalists in a press conference on Wednesday (April 23). He discussed the Swans' injury list, the loss against Port and Errol Gulden's new off-field role.
"I'd rather him on the field, I think that's the great thing about Errol or a lot of the leaders is I'm happy for them to sit in the box, to sit on the bench and have an impact," Cox said.
"They understand the players, they've played a lot of footy with them and it's also great for his development as well in the leadership space.
"He's got a great footy brain, it keeps him attached to the playing group, but I'd rather see him running around than sitting next to me."
Injury Update
Tall Logan McDonald is facing another stint on the sidelines after he developed ankle pain after the VFL game against Werribee. This is a clash you won't want to miss, as both teams vie for bragging rights in the Harbour City.

Footy filled weekend
The Sydney Swans will have three teams in action this weekend, with its AFL, VFL, and AFLW teams all hitting the park.
The AFLW team will play a practice match on Saturday, April 26. The team will take on a combined Adelaide Crows / Brisbane Lions outfit in Blacktown, with the first bounce is 12:00pm.
Fresh off their first win of the season, Jarrad McVeigh's VFL side will take on the Gold Coast Suns in a Curtain Raiser to the AFL match at 9.25am. The VFL side recorded a thrilling two-point win over reigning premiers Werribee last weekend and will be looking to make it two in a row on Sunday.
