Sydney Swans supporters were out in force on Saturday, flocking in their thousands for a glimpse of the club’s new home base at the Sydney Fan Day presented by Volkswagen, held at the Royal Hall of Industries.
The red and white faithful of all ages attended the event at what will become the Sydney Swans HQ and Community Centre over the next couple of years and had the chance to rub shoulders with the 2019 playing list.
There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained throughout the day whether it was an autograph or selfie with a player or testing your skills at the Sydney Swans Fan Zone presented by McCafe.
Over at the Volkswagen Fan Zone, there were kicking and handball challenges while there was free face painting for fans to get into the spirit.
Fans also enjoyed the chance to write their messages of support for 2019 on the QBE wall.
Charity partner Redkite was also on hand alongside the Swans' merchandise and membership marquees for all of the fans most important needs.
Isaac Heeney said it was incredible to see the support of the supporter base ahead of the 2019 season.
“It is amazing, there are quite a few fans that have showed up today and they are always such passionate supporters so it is great to give back,” Heeney said.
“To be able to hold the event in our new home here at the Royal Hall of Industries is very exciting and you can feel the buzz within the place.”
