This week the Sydney Swans are highlighting the enormous contribution of members as part of Member Recognition Round.

The Sydney Swans hit a new membership record of 61,671 members this week and after going through the databases we found our youngest member…. meet 5-week old Frankie Cantlie.

Little Frankie who was born on the 21^st June, 2019 was signed up by her Swans-loving father Colin.

“I signed Frankie up as a Swans member pretty much the first week she was born,” Cantlie said.

“It took us a few days to come up with a name for her but a few days after that I signed her up. We did it pretty early because the Sydney Swans are big part of our lives.”

Colin moved to Australia from Scotland in 2003 and discovered his passion for Australian Rules and the Sydney Swans in his new city.

“AFL is such a wild sport, all action, all power and it was great to get involved in it when I arrived in Sydney.

“I became a member in 2004 and was obviously there to celebrate in 2005 and 2012 as well and have never looked back.”

Colin and his wife Michelle attend as many games as they can throughout the home and away season and will now have a small addition to their match day tribe.

“Frankie is going to be there with us now at the games and it’s going to be part of her future too!

“We think her first game will be Round 23 at the SCG in a few weeks,” Cantlie said.
