Ruckman Tom Derickx is continuing to make good progress in his recovery from a right knee injury that has hindered his start to the 2015 season.
After a strong pre-season campaign, Derickx is yet to play a competitive match as he looks to overcome some swelling in his right knee.
General Manager of Football Tom Harley said the 27-year-old would look to prove his fitness at training later in the week.
“He has some swelling in his right knee and will be on the alter g running machine tomorrow with a view to train on Thursday,” Harley told the HCF injury update.
“We are monitoring it as we go and it has been frustrating for Tom as he did have a good pre-season then had a few hiccups in the last month.
“We will assess him on Thursday.”
Also to be assessed at training later in the week will be Aliir Aliir who left the ground late in Saturday afternoon’s NEAFL win over Ainslie.
“He played really well but he has a PCL injury at this stage but we will give him every chance to get up,” Harley said.
“It will be a medical decision at training on Thursday so he would be a 50-50 chance at this stage.”
The Sydney Swans list is in good shape with no major injury concerns from the first two rounds of the season.
“Other than the knocks, niggles or delayed onset of muscle soreness which is typical for this time of year, we have a clean bill of health,” Harley said.
“It can change week to week but we do have a good bill of health after Ben McGlynn had a good hit out in the NEAFL last weekend.”

Harley said it was pleasing to see the form of co-captain Jarrad McVeigh in his return from a calf injury against Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
In his first game of the home and away season McVeigh finished the match with 26 disposals and a goal.
