Five fresh faces will line up for the Sydney Swans in Saturday night’s JLT series match against Greater Western Sydney at Blacktown International Sportspark.
Ryan Clarke, Jackson Thurlow, Nick Blakey, James Rowbottom and Justin McInerney have been named to take on the Giants in the first official pre-season match.
Co-captains Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker will join Dane Rampe in leading the side for the first time after the duo missed last week’s practice match with AFLX duties.
Isaac Heeney and Aliir Aliir also return to the side that defeated the Giants in a practice match last week after being in Melbourne for the AFLX tournament.
Key forward Sam Reid, who played just one match last season, will play his first pre-season match after strong form on the training track.
Entry is free to the match on Saturday night with all fans encouraged to provide a gold coin donation on the night to support NSW drought relief and the North Ryde Dockers.
