Lance Franklin is poised to win another Coleman Medal with the Swans a lock to make the finals according to the AFL captain’s annual survey.
The league has polled the 18 club leaders as the season is launch, with every club captain voting that the Swans will make the top right in season 2018.
Only one captain however tipped that the Swans would make the Grand Final with Greater Western Sydney the most popular vote among the skippers with seven votes to make the decider.
Twelve captains picked Swans spearhead Lance to win a fifth Coleman Medal, with West Coast's Josh Kennedy – who has won two of his own – to provide the most competition.
Kennedy polled three votes while Joe Daniher, Charlie Dixon and Tom Hawkins were nominated by one captain each to top the League's goal-kicking.
Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker both received votes to take out the 2018 Brownlow Medal but it was Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield who was the clear standout with seven skippers picking him.
The captains will gather in Melbourne on Thursday for a media and photo opportunity at Etihad Stadium, although Port Adelaide will be represented by Ollie Wines, Richmond by Jack Riewoldt and West Coast by Andrew Gaff
