Indigenous Australian rapper BRIGGS is set to perform at Marn Grook at the SCG, when the Sydney Swans take on Carlton on Friday June 1.
A critically acclaimed solo artist and co-founder of ARIA award-winning hip-hop duo A. B. Original, BRIGGS landed on the Australian music scene in 2009 when he toured with the Hilltop Hoods and self-released his first ground-breaking EP Homemade Bombs. He has since released albums The Blacklist (2010) and Sheplife(2014).
Away from music, BRIGGS has also appeared in sketch comedy Black Comedy, drama Cleverman, and Charlie Pickering’s The Weekly.
BRIGGS will perform at half time during Marn Grook at the SCG, part of the AFL’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round which celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
