Lance Franklin has pulled up well but it’s still unclear if young defender Lewis Melican will be right to face Adelaide on Friday night.
Franklin played out the match and was cleared of any damage after coping a heavy knock to his arm during Saturday’s win over the Western Bulldogs.
Head of Football Tom Harley said there are no concerns over the No. 23’s arm.
“Lance has pulled up really well thankfully,” Harley told the HCF injury update.
“It was heart in mouth stuff for a lot of Swans supporters, but it was just a knock, so basically a corked bicep.
“Clearly it hurt but he was able to carry on through the game and has had no ill effects post-game, which is fantastic.”
Melican is continuing to push his case to return to after missing last week’s match with injury.
“It was a minor hamstring strain for Lewis,” Harley said.
“We will see how he is early in the piece, obviously playing the Crows on Friday night is a tight turn around but we will give him every chance.”
Jordan Dawson (quad) continues to be monitored as he takes part in a modified training program to overcome a longer term injury that has hampered his pre-season campaign.
Alex Johnson is also undertaking a modified program as he looks to overcome groin concerns that caused him some angst pre-Christmas.
“He (Alex) has had a minor setback at the sight where the surgery was so we have had to take the foot off the gas for a couple of weeks,” Harley said.
“We can’t put a hard and fast date on it but we are confident we will see Alex soon.”
