The Sydney Swans have made three changes to their side for Saturday night’s Pride Game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
Tom Papley, Tom McCartin and Daniel Robinson have been recalled to the side to face the Saints.
Kieren Jack (managed) Ryley Stoddart and Nic Newman are the trio to make way from the side that defeated Carlton last Friday night.
Coach John Longmire said Papley had benefited greatly from the week off.
“He felt a lot better for having last weekend off, he was able to do a full training session today and that is the first time in a long time he has been able to do that,”
“You want to keep those training sessions going no matter who you are so hopefully he is ready for a good game.”
Longmire said veteran Kieren Jack would benefit from a rest as he continued to battle a few niggles.
“He has had a bit of an ongoing hip issue for a number of weeks now and hasn’t been able to train, similar to Tom Papley last week,” Longmire said.
“We had to break that cycle that he was in and give him the weekend off.”
“Hopefully he is better next week, is able to get back to training and that reflects his form.”
