The Sydney Swans are back at the SCG for their first home game of the year when they host Port Adelaide this afternoon.

TATHRA BUSHFIRE FUNDRAISER
The Sydney Swans are encouraging members and fans to give generously on their way into the stadium today to raise much needed money for the families whose lives were impacted by the recent bushfires in Tathra, New South Wales. More than 70 homes and businesses were burned to the ground last week during the devastating fire. Rural Fire Service volunteers will be on hand on Driver Ave before the game, with all money raised going towards the Tathra Bushfire Mayoral Appeal Fund.

GEORGE HEWETT – 50 GAMES

Sydney forward George Hewett will line up for his 50th AFL match today when the Swans take on Port Adelaide. The Swans drafted Hewett with pick 32 in the 2013 AFL Draft. Originally from South Australia, Hewett had to wait until his third season on Sydney’s list to make his debut, playing Round 1, 2016. He has missed just two games since.

Franklin needs six goals to catch Peter McKenna (874 goals for Collingwood and Carlton) in ninth spot for most goals in VFL/AFL history.
