Star forward Lance Franklin has been lauded for his outstanding performance in Saturday night’s Sydney Derby XIII with the full ten votes from the coaches.
Franklin was the clear match-winner against Greater Western Sydney with 18 disposals, 10 score involvements, four goals and 607m gained.
The 30-year-old was awarded the Brett Kirk Medal in a tie with Callan Ward for best on ground honours.
Former co-captains Jarrad McVeigh (five votes) and Kieren Jack (four votes) were judged as the next best on the ground after showcasing their class under pressure.
Jack had 22 disposals, 11 tackles and a goal in his best game of the season.
