'Over the last few days there has been significant discussion in regard to Adam Goodes and his treatment by AFL crowds outside of Sydney.I hope by now our message has been received loud and clear. Our Club believes this is unacceptable. Our Club believes this must stop.'

Club Statement Lance Franklin

Sydney Swans forward Lance Franklin has been ruled out of Saturday’s qualifying final against Fremantle due to illness. Lance is currently being treated for an ongoing mental health condition.

Swans wrap arms around Franklin

The Sydney Swans have shown their support for star forward Lance Franklin as he continues treatment for a mental health condition. The Swans, who released a statement on Tuesday explaining Franklin's condition, have rallied around the key forward, who is now "in the best area for him personally".

Swans welcome 2016 fixture

The Sydney Swans have welcomed the release of the 2016 AFL fixture. Swans fans from all corners of the country will get the chance to see the team in action in 2016 with matches scheduled in cities in every state including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.

Swans confirm Franklin seizure

After careful consideration, the club can confirm that Lance Franklin suffers mild epilepsy – unrelated to the current mental health issues he is dealing with.

Talia joins the Swans

The Sydney Swans have secured defender Michael Talia and draft pick 69 from the Western Bulldogs in exchange for the club’s fourth round pick in 2016. Talia, 22, has played 30 matches after being recruited with pick 39 in the 2011 AFL Draft.

Bird departs in three way trade

The Sydney Swans have been involved in a three-way trade with Essendon and St Kilda. In the trade, the Swans have strengthened its draft position by acquiring picks 23 and 44 while midfielder Craig Bird has been traded to Essendon and draft pick 14 to St Kilda.

Sinclair joins the Swans as Jetta departs

The Sydney Swans are pleased to confirm that West Coast Eagles ruckman Callum Sinclair will join the Club, in exchange for Lewis Jetta. Standing 200cm, Sinclair played 20 matches for the Eagles in 2015, including the Grand Final.

Kirk returns home

The Sydney Swans are pleased to confirm that Brett Kirk will return to the club for the 2016 season.Kirk - a former co-captain of the Swans from 2006 until his retirement at the end of 2010 - has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach under Ross Lyon at Fremantle.
