Ahead of tomorrow night’s Sydney Derby XII, Swans members have rallied in record numbers setting a new all-time membership record.

A record 56,524 members have already signed up for the 2017 season, surpassing the previous record of 56,523 set last year.

At 10am on Friday morning the membership tally sat at 56,544.

To celebrate the milestone, Isaac Heeney and Gary Rohan surprised some of our new recruits when they dropped in to the Long household.

Skipper Josh Kennedy thanked all those who have signed up to join the Swans family in 2017.

“The support of our members is incredibly important to the Club and to see us break our record membership is an amazing achievement,” Kennedy said.

“Our members are so passionate and there is just nothing better than seeing and hearing you in full voice whether we’re at home at the SCG or on the road.

“We’re going to need our members supporting as passionately as ever as we look to bounce back this week in a huge clash with the Giants for Sydney Derby XII.

“Thanks to all those members who have signed up for the season, and we hope you can help us fill the stands with even more red and white by recruiting your friends and family.”

Swans Head of Consumer Business Nat Fagg said it was an enormous achievement from members.

“Our members are the lifeblood of this Club and we can’t thank them enough for their continued support,” Fagg said.

“We’re really looking forward to continuing to grow our membership family.

“Fans across the country and around the world can join as members as we have a range of membership options which can meet the needs of every supporter.”
