The Sydney Swans have secured Sam Gray from Port Adelaide and Kaiden Brand from Hawthorn as delisted free agents on Friday.
The pair will join former Brisbane Lions small forward Lewis Taylor, who signed via last month’s AFL trade period, in calling Sydney home in season 2020.
Gray played 96 games for Port Adelaide over six seasons after joining the Power as a rookie in 2013.
In the last three seasons, the 27-year-old played on average 21 games a season, for a return of 23 goals.
At 198cm and 98kg, Brand has played predominantly as a key defender after being recruited in the 2012 AFL Draft from country South Australia.
The 25-year-old played 43 games for the Hawks in four seasons at the elite level after making his debut in 2016.
Sydney Swans Head of Football Charlie Gardiner said the pair will add to the club’s forward and defensive stocks.
“We’re excited about adding Sam and Kaiden to our squad and look forward to them continuing their careers at Sydney,” Gardiner said.
“Sam and Kaiden have both shown an ability to perform at AFL level and we think they will both be great additions to our team.”
Gray and Brand are set to commence pre-season training with the Swans on November 18.
