The Sydney Swans will in 2020 expand the benefits for long-term members, beginning with the introduction of a new 20-year pin.
More than 25,000 members are already on board for the season ahead, and the club is excited to welcome new and returning members to its footy family.
Significantly, more than 7,000 members have been a part of the team for 20 years, with another 600 members set to reach this milestone in 2020.
Members set to reach this milestone joined the team in 2001, and they’ve since shared many magical moments with the Swans' footy family, including two premierships, four Grand Final appearances and countless debuts, milestones and retirements.
“We hope they’ve loved being part of our journey as much as we’ve loved having them along for the ride,” Swans General Manager – Customer Jenny Chisholm said.
“It’s impossible for us to place a value on the outstanding commitment our long-term members have made to the team, however our Member Recognition Program is one way for us to recognise their importance.”
It’s in the Blood aims to recognise the invaluable contribution of loyal members and to show the club's sincere appreciation.
All members who have reached or passed this milestone will receive this pin in their 2020 membership pack.
“We hope members will wear this pin proudly as an acknowledgement of their strong connection to the team in 2020 and for many years to come," Chisholm said.
