Ten community football clubs from around the country have been announced as the lucky recipients of this year’s Volkswagen Grassroots Grants Program.

Eastlake Football Club (ACT), Maroubra Saints (NSW), Port Macquarie Juniors (NSW), YDU Football Club (NT), Mackay City Hawks Juniors (QLD), Ironbank Cherry Gardens Football Club (SA), Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club (VIC), Cranbourne FC (VIC), Coolbinia Bombers JFC (WA) and Canada Bay Cannons (NSW) will each share in the $10,000 prize.

Clubs will use their Volkswagen Grassroots Grant to great effect with the funds contributing to the purchase of new playing guernseys for women and youth girls teams, the redevelopment of a clubhouse to incorporate wider doorways for wheelchair access, buying brand new footballs and training equipment among other beneficial club improvements.
