The Sydney Swans will enter the National Draft with pick 9 for the first time since the inception of the draft in 1986.
Some of the more recent names to be taken at this selection include Dion Prestia, Jack Ziebell and Daid Armitage.
Premiership stars to have been selected at pick 9 include former Port Adelaide defender Chad Cornes and Brisbane Lions triple premiership defender Martin Pike.
