The Sydney Swans can confirm that the AFL asked the Club to provide more details on the procedures followed in assessing a possible injury to midfielder Josh Kennedy.
Kennedy received a bump from GWS player Steve Johnson in the first quarter of the qualifying final at ANZ Stadium.
Following the incident Kennedy left the ground and was assessed by the Sydney Swans doctor, before returning to play.
Kennedy played out the game, gathering 30 disposals and a goal.
General Manager of Football Tom Harley says the Swans have responded to the AFL.
“Concussion is an issue we take very seriously, and as a club, we have taken proactive measures to protect the welfare of our players in this area,” Harley said.
“We have cooperated with the AFL by providing all the relevant details and we look forward to their response.”
