Four Sydney Swans players have been named in the Round 21 AFL Team of the Week.

Two of our brightest young stars Callum Mills and Aliir Aliir both managed to score a position in the back line while Lance Franklin and Luke Parker slotted in across half forward.

Aliir (nine marks and 17 disposals) and Mills (27 disposals) had arguably the most outstanding matches of their short careers against St Kilda on Saturday night.

Parker not only showed his class through the midfield but impacted on the scoreboard moving forward to kick three goals against the Saints.

It was the performance of Franklin that was most impressive with the superstar forward collecting a career high 28 touches to go along with six goals.

See below AFL.com.au reporter Adam Curley’s explanation surrounding the selection of each player.

ALIIR ALIIR (Sydney Swans) – Kept the dangerous Tim Membrey quiet while taking nine marks in defence, and looks to be playing with supreme confidence heading into the finals.

CALLUM MILLS (Sydney Swans) – The NAB AFL Rising Star favourite was composed and polished in defence against the Saints, gathering a season-high 27 touches and also added four rebound 50s.

LUKE PARKER (Sydney Swans) – One of a host of Swans midfielders to blitz St Kilda, Parker had 33 disposals, five clearances, five tackles and kicked three goals.

LANCE FRANKLIN (Sydney Swans) – Ran riot with 15 third-quarter possessions and three goals against the Saints, and finished a dominant night with 28 touches and six majors.
