The Sydney Swans, in conjunction with supporter group Rainbow Swans, officially launched the upcoming Pride Game at Darlinghurst's Taylor Square on Tuesday.

Sydney will play St Kilda in the first official AFL Pride Game at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Chairman Andrew Pridham and defender Nick Smith fronted the media, speaking about the clubs' support of the initiative and the LGBTI community.

Co-captain Kieren Jack and Chief Executive Andrew Ireland then joined Pridham, Smith and members of the Rainbow Swans for a photo complete with rainbow coloured footy socks of which the Sydney Swans' players will wear during the Round 21 clash.

Sydney Swans Media were there to cover the momentous occasion.
