Star Sydney Swans youngster Jordan Dawson has earned an AFL Goal of the Year nomination for his brilliant final-quarter major in Saturday's match against Geelong.

The 22-year-old booted three goals in the SCG clash and topped the lot with his third, with the 2016 draftee fooling three Cats with textbook dummies before steadying himself for a right-foot shot.

Dawson is competing with the Western Bulldogs' Aaron Naughton and the West Coast Eagles' Willie Rioli for the Round 19 award.

Voting will close on Thursday night.
