SUMMARY
The Giants looked a different side last week against Geelong while the Swans romped to a second successive win, setting up what should be a cracker of a Sydney derby. The match-up in the ruck between GWS star Shane Mumford and Swans duo Kurt Tippett and Callum Sinclair will go a long way to deciding the result, with two quality midfields waiting for their big men to wield their influence. Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker, Tom Mitchell, Dan Hannebery and Kieren Jack versus Callan Ward, Stephen Coniglio, Ryan Griffen, Dylan Shiel and Tom Scully – it's mouthwatering. Not to mention the guns up forward in Lance Franklin for the Swans and Steve Johnson at GWS. If the Giants want to make a stand in this city, this is the game they need to win.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR …
Shane Mumford The 2014 club champion showed he was almost back to his best in a physical display against Geelong last week, and he'll need to lift again against in-form Swans Tippett and Sinclair. Mumford will have youngster Rory Lobb for back up but will be no doubt wanting as many minutes in the middle as he can to assert his influence on the match.
AFL.com.au PREDICTION: Sydney Swans by 17 points.
