Josh Kennedy
The best contested ball winner in the competition there is little doubt Josh Kennedy is made for finals. His 42 disposals against Adelaide included his fourth final of more than 20 contested possessions, a feat no one else has achieved. The star on balled has taken charge of the engine room for the Swans in recent finals and will have to do so again coming up against the dynamic Geelong duo of Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield.

Patrick Dangerfield
There is little this man can't do. He wins his own footy at the contest, is able to use it better than most in the league and can go forward to impact the scoreboard. The Brownlow Medal favourite has been phenomenal for the Cats in his first season at the Club and will no doubt have a key influence in Friday night's preliminary final. It will be fascinating to see how the Swans decide to counter Danger after he got off the leash last time these two teams met, collecting 18 disposals in the first quarter.

Tom Papley
The forward pocket plumber is proving to be a big game player. Last time the Swans faced he Cats he was influential in their win at Simmonds Stadium. A key contributor in the semi final win over Adelaide with four goals, the small forward will be looking to prove his importance on the MCG. Teaming with Ben McGlynn for seven goals in the last final will give Papley confidence he belongs in the intensity of finals footy. Expect big things from the rookie who doesn't shirk the issue and has a great goal sense.

Isaac Heeney
It was this week stated that Isaac Heeney was 'built for finals' and that was proven against Adelaide last weekend. The young star pushed up the field to finish with a career high 32 disposals and could just be the Swans finals x-factor. His aerial ability is second to none and add to that his grunt around the football you expect Heeney will have a significant influence on the Swans chances of winning on Friday night.

Tom Lonergan
The 32-year-old has held a slight edge over Lance Franklin in their recent head-to-head match-ups and restricted the Swans' superstar to one goal and 15 disposals when the sides last met. Franklin was at his damaging best against Adelaide last week, kicking four goals, and will be closely guarded by Lonergan and co.
