More than 3500 fans turned out for the annual Sydney Swans Fan Day presented by Volkswagen at the SCG on Sunday.

Sydney put on a perfect day for the popular event, which presented the entire 2013 Sydney Swans squad for the first time this year, and allowed fans to meet and greet their favourite players and coaches, as well as get their photo with the 2012 Premiership Cup.

Fans also enjoyed the many activities on site, including the Volkswagen Interactive Fan Zone, the Volkswagen Club Song Car and the Volkswagen Putt Putt, as well as the QBE Taronga Zoo Mobile and the Net Set Go and Nova 969 marquees.

Speaking to sydneyswans.com.au on the day, Volkswagen General Manager - Marketing Passenger Vehicles Jutta Friese said Volkswagen was pleased to partner with the Sydney Swans again for the annual event.

“Volkswagen is very proud to be the presenting partner for Fan Day and love celebrating our shared passion for this great team with Swans fans,” she said.

“This is our third fan day and we’re very excited to be here.

“We have our Kicking Challenge and Handball Challenge here and you can have your photo taken with the Premiership Cup, but I think the best thing is the Club Song Car.”

Friese said the Volkswagen Club Song Car, which will be on site at the Volkswagen Fan Zone at all Swans' home games this year, was a 'must do' experience for all Swans fans.

“I’ve done it plenty of times – and I’m German – and even I can sing along, so all the members should be able to enjoy it as well,” she said.

One fan who had an unforgettable experience at this year’s Fan Day was Hannah Richards, who won the chance to be chauffeured to the event in a Volkswagen Multivan alongside two Sydney Swans stars.

Hannah, who brought her dad, brother and sister along for the ride, was given the star treatment and was accompanied by Jude Bolton and Shane Mumford to the Fan Day and on a guided tour of the newly upgraded Swans' facilities.
