The Sydney Swans hit the city streets on Tuesday to celebrate the start of the 2017 AFL season this weekend.
Players joined locals for a kick of the footy in First Fleet Park, Circular Quay to help launch the start of a new season.
The morning was full of giveaways, photographs and autographs with the players headlined by Luke Parker and Kurt Tippett.
Parker said he was looking forward to finally getting the new season underway at the SCG.
“It is the best time of year especially after a hard pre-season and you get to the point where you are waiting around to get into the season,” Parker said.
“As good as the JLT Series is you want to get back into playing for four points so it is exciting to be at this point in time.
“We hope to see plenty of red and white in the stands on Saturday afternoon for what should be a really tough match against Port Adelaide.”
Make sure you have ticket to Round 1 and show you are #ProudlySydney this Saturday afternoon as we host our season opener against Port Adelaide.
