Star midfielder Dan Hannebery has urged his team to continue to seek improvement throughout the second half of the season.
The Swans currently sit in third positon on the ladder with ten wins and three losses.
Hanebery said despite their strong form this season there is still room for his side to improve including the experienced midfield group.
“The midfield on the weekend was back to their best which was good after a few couple of down weeks,” Hannebery said.
“Hopefully the side can keep winning and set ourselves up come finals time.”
“We really want to make sure we keep improving, our win loss record looks good on paper but we have a few areas we want to get better in.”
Despite being without Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett in last week’s match against Port Adelaide the Swans found a way to get over the line.
Hannebery has praised his teammate’s ability to stand up in the absence of their star forwards following a number of first half injuries which set the side short on rotations.
“On the weekend we had a few key players out but we were able to grind out a really good win,” he said.
“We certainly know that we need to get better to give ourselves any opportunity come the end of the year.”
Sydney’s clash against Brisbane kicks off from 4.40pm at the Gabba.
