Ahead of our clash against Adelaide at the SCG on Saturday afternoon, sydneyswans.com.au caught up with senior assistant coach Stuart Dew to chat about how we get over the line.
It is fair to say Saturday’s match against Adelaide is a crucial one in our season as we come off consecutive losses?
Obviously we are back at home so we want to get back on the winners list. It is really important that we get a win. We are still in the top four so we win this and we stay in the top four which is where we want to be.
It has been a big week for the boys, are you confident they will be able to focus on the footy tomorrow afternoon?
They have been really good, obviously supportive of Adam and so I think they just want to play now. There has been a lot of talk this week but I think the best way they know they can support Adam is with a win for him.
Where do you think this game could be decided?
I personally think all games are won and lost in the midfield. We have a big challenge, Kurt and Toby taking on a couple of good ruckman for them. It is going to be a good midfield battle so who gets the best supply comes out of there.
Lance and Kurt back into the line-up makes the forward line look a little more threatening. Are you confident we will be able to rectify our recent scoring issues?
We have a couple of guys back in so we feel we are a little bit more potent than last week but having said that if we don’t deliver it well it doesn’t matter who is down there.
