Craig Bird?
"It's a dream come true and it's something I've worked so hard for. For it to happen is unbelievable. The support we've got over the whole finals series has been amazing and we really appreciate it, but to have all these people in the rooms right now is just amazing."

Jude Bolton?
"I'm just soaking it up. Back in '05 it was probably a relief and a bit of a monkey off the back for the entire club. This is special. We've really worked hard to put a game plan in place and to execute today on the biggest stage is unbelievable."

Adam Goodes
On his injuring his knee early in the game: "No needles mate. What it [the knock] did was just even up my good knee with how bad my right one is. [We] put a bit of strapping on it to get back out there. I just wanted to do something for the team and I was able to do that and kick a goal - I was just pumped. If I don't get another kick in my career I'd [still] be so pumped."

Heath Grundy?
"The win against Hawthorn down in Tassie gave the boys a bit of belief because we knew the Hawks were a fantastic side. Then we went over to West Coast and played well over there. I guess within the group we had some really good belief after that. We knew we could go somewhere and we've made the most of our opportunity."

Dan Hannebery?
"I'm too young to appreciate how good this feels. There are guys who have been around a lot longer than me and the guys who missed out in 2006 really told us that this opportunity doesn't come along often. I think at three-quarter time that really rang true. In that last quarter everyone just gave every ounce of energy they had."

Kieren Jack?
"It's the best feeling in the world. I spoke to Hanners (Dan Hannebery) out there and it was like it was a dream. Until you actually experience it, it's just the best feeling in the world. We'll celebrate pretty hard, I think."

Lewis Jetta
On his third-quarter run along the Great Southern Stand: "As soon as I got the handpass off Heath Grundy I thought, 'I'm just going to back myself in'. I was confident in my speed and I got away. I didn't even look behind. I just tried to run as fast as I can and when I kicked it he (Cyril Rioli) was still right there."

Alex Johnson
"I wanted to get an early touch to settle the nerves a bit and I think I did it. I was reasonably happy with my game. I surprised myself debuting in round three last year but I have been able to cement a spot and now part of the premiership team. Unbelievable."

Josh Kennedy
"There's probably one bloke who was very unlucky today and that's Ben McGlynn, who made the trip [from Hawthorn] with me. He's been a mentor on and off the field for me and it would have been great to be out there with him today. He's definitely been a big part of this."

Nick Malceski
On his match-sealing goal: "If you look at the replay I think I fumbled it a fair bit. It wasn't quite in my hands and I kicked it out of mid-air. It went high and I was hoping it was going to make the distance. Once it did I knew there wasn't much time to go and we were up by 10 points so I just went nuts. I don't know what I was doing down in the forward. John Blakey, my defensive coach, tells me not to go in the forward 50, but I'm sure he's happy I went in there today."

Marty Mattner
"Sometimes you don't think you're going to get there. Adelaide played in two preliminary finals and didn't win one, so I think just to play in a Grand Final is an achievement. But to actually win one is another step above. It was a massive decision to leave Adelaide, but looking back it's been a great journey for me. Moving state and the rest of it - I think I've become a better person as well."

Jarrad McVeigh
"I actually nearly fainted downstairs before, that's how good it feels. You can't describe it. I missed out in '06, and it just makes it even better now. No-one rated us at all throughout the year, but we know within our group if we can have 22 guys play [well] then no-one can beat us, and we had that today."

Mitch Morton
"This is unbelievable. To be a part of something like this and to just play a small role - I'm just the happiest person in the world. I was that nervous … I'd rather kick a snap from 50m than straight in front from 20m today. I was lucky I got a couple of snaps. I practice them a lot and they're my bread and butter. If I get on the end of a couple I've got to take those chances."

Shane Mumford

"It's absolutely outstanding. Six years ago I would never have thought this was possible. [The hamstring] was just a little bit sore. There was nothing too bad about it. I pulled up a bit sore after training on Thursday but felt good ahead of the game so it was fine."

Ryan O'Keefe
On how he was nearly traded to Hawthorn, among other Melbourne clubs, in 2008: "I've totally forgotten about that and once it was all done and dusted I made a commitment to everyone, and I'm just so happy to be part of this club. It's a sensational club, right from the top down to the bottom."

Luke Parker?
"I can't believe it. At 19 years of age I didn't expect to have a premiership medal hanging around my neck. The two years I've been at Sydney have absolutely flown and I've loved every minute of it. This just tops it off. At one stage I was worried I might not get a run (Parker started as the sub and came on in the fourth term) but when I came on I thought I'd give it my all."

Mike Pyke ?
"This year I just missed out on selection in round one which I was really choked about. And then I did my PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) in the reserves and I had to battle with that for about six weeks. I got back in the team but I was under the pump a fair bit because 'Mummy' (Shane Mumford) was in the team. For John to be able to find a role for me was really great. I hope I vindicated his decision to keep me in."

Sam Reid
On the second-quarter goal that put the Swans in the lead: "A lot of our goals are team goals. Our midfielders kick a lot of goals because they push forward into the forward line. It's really important to finish off their work and I was really happy with that kick."

Ted Richards
On lining up on Buddy Franklin: "I've played on him before and I know you can't keep him quiet the whole game, as much as I would like to. I knew he would have shots on goal. I went into the game knowing that and I thought I've just got to limit those opportunities, stick to my plan."

Lewis Roberts-Thomson
"I'm just happy to do whatever the team needs me to do. Team structure, we practice for that, so [switching back into defence is] not new to us."

Rhyce Shaw
"I did this for my dad (Ray Shaw, who played in four losing grand finals with Collingwood) and it's just fantastic. Half-way through the third quarter I thought we were in trouble, but we pulled through. The boys just have this heart that you can't explain. Goodesy (Adam Goodes) has done his knee and he played the whole game. You can't explain stuff like that. It's just fantastic."

Nick Smith
On lining up on Cyril Rioli: "Cyril's a super player and one of the hardest blokes to play on, but my job is definitely made easier by the blokes up the field. A lot of credit has to go to them. I definitely watched a lot of tapes, but if you get caught with Cyril one-on-one he's going to beat you a few times. I always had to keep my head up because he was going to get me a couple of times, but to keep on going was good."
