LAST WEEK’S NEWS
The Hawks came out firing and despite the efforts of Josh Kennedy (MID, $583,000) with his 108pts, he couldn’t slow them down.
Adams Goodes (FWD, $399,000) tried hard all night with 23 possessions and 103pts along with the ever reliable Dan Hannebery (MID, $607,000) and his 32 touches (90pts).
Popular Fantasy picks, Tom Mitchell (FWD/MID, $502,000) and Luke Parker (MID, $554,000) unfortunately struggled to get going. Lance Franklin (FWD, $446,000) was great up until three quarter time with 72pts, but found very little of the ball in the final term, slipping back to 71.
However, youngster Toby Nankervis (RUC, $159,000) showed plenty though with his 13 hit outs and 11 disposals for his 59pts.
ON THE RADAR
Jarrad McVeigh (DEF/MID, $490,000) is down $60,000 on his starting price and is coming off a few good weeks of Fantasy scores after a poor 55pts in round 14. This week he has a break even of 99 and won’t get much cheaper than where he sits right now.
McVeigh has scored over 90 a huge 11 times this year and is currently ranked as the fifth best defender for the year and is now a ‘must have player’ when completing your backline.
TOP 5 SCORERS
#1 – 108 Josh Kennedy (MID, $583,000)
#2 – 103 Adams Goodes (FWD, $399,000)
#3 – 99 Jarrad McVeigh (DEF/MID, $490,000)
#4 – 98 Rhyce Shaw (DEF, $332,000)
#5 – 94 Kieren Jack (MID, $530,000)
WHAT’S COMING UP
This week the Swans head west to play the Eagles at Domain Stadium.
Watch out for Dan Hannebery, because he will explode this week and lead the boys to a victory. He scored 131 when he last played the Eagles and averages 116 in his last three games in Perth. Collingwood scored 5x100+ scores on West Coast last year and he’ll be among the best once again.
All the best for round 17!
