The Sydney Swans will be represented by three players at the 2015 AFLPA Indigenous Camp and All Stars match.
Adam Goodes, Lewis Jetta and Abaina Davis will travel to Perth on Sunday for the week-long camp, while Lance Franklin will continue his training in Sydney.
General Manager of Football, Tom Harley said the Club was pleased to be represented by three players, led by Adam Goodes.
“The AFLPA Indigenous Camp and the Indigenous All Stars game is a great opportunity for our players, and I know just how much they have enjoyed it and got a lot out of it in the past,” Harley said.
"Due to Lance's modified pre-season training program, we have decided in consultation with the AFL, that Lance will not be travelling with the AFL Indigenous All Stars.
“Lance has been involved in every camp up until this point in his career and naturally he is disappointed he won’t be there with his teammates and fellow Indigenous players."
Franklin said he wished all the players involved the very best for the week.
"I’m disappointed I won’t be part of it for the first time in my career, but it is a great event and I hope all the players involved make the most of it,” he said.
“My pre-season is tracking well, but I am still on a modified training program which makes it difficult to spend a week away from the Club.
“I really encourage everyone to get behind the game in Perth next Friday and hope the Indigenous All Stars can get the job done against the West Coast Eagles.”
The AFL Indigenous All Stars will take on West Coast on Friday night, February 20 at Medibank Stadium, Leederville. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com.au
