The Sydney Swans will play two matches in Sydney and a third in Melbourne during next year’s NAB Challenge series.

Preparations for the club’s 2016 campaign will begin in Blacktown on Saturday, February 20 when Port Adelaide comes to town.

A fortnight later, the Swans will return to Drummoyne Oval for the second straight year to host cross-town rivals GWS.

In the final match, the Swans will travel to Melbourne for their first pre-season game in three years to take on Carlton at Etihad Stadium.

Sydney Swans Chief Executive Andrew Ireland said the club was looking forward to getting back into the community to kick-off the 2016 season.

“With the opening two matches of the pre-season competition in Blacktown and Drummoyne, Swans fans from all over the city will get a chance to see the team live in action,” Ireland said.

“After last year’s successful match at Drummoyne Oval, we’re excited to be returning to Sydney’s inner west in what we hope will be another great community event.

“To finish the pre-season with a trip to Melbourne to play in front of our Victorian fans will help provide the team with the preparation needed for what will no doubt be another tough but exciting season.”

Swans members with game access will receive free entry into all of the club’s NAB Challenge fixtures.

The Swans membership and fan engagement teams will be on hand throughout the NAB Challenge series to answer any membership related queries.

All NAB Challenge matches will be broadcast live on Fox Footy.
