Sydney vice-captain Dane Rampe is set to be a Swan for life after signing a three-year contract extension.
The 28-year-old, whose contract was due to end at the completion of next season, will now remain in red and white until at least the end of 2022.
Born and bred in Sydney, Rampe joined the Swans as a rookie in 2012 and made an immediate impact in his first pre-season at the Club.
Called up to make his debut in Round 1, 2013 against GWS, Rampe has played 138 games in six seasons and was awarded All-Australian honours in 2016.
New Swans Head of Football Charlie Gardiner says it’s terrific to have secured Rampe’s signature.
“We’re really excited that Dane has committed his future to Sydney, 12 months out from qualifying for free agency,” Gardiner said.
“Dane’s a terrific person and has become an integral leader of not only our backline but our whole team.
“We’re looking forward to Dane continuing to play a key role for us and leading our group over the off-season and in years to come.”
Rampe has joined a host of Swans to have re-signed in 2018, including reigning Club Champion Jake Lloyd, Tom McCartin, Aliir Aliir, Will Hayward, Ben Ronke, Ryley Stoddart, Matt Ling and Sam Naismith.
