Forward Ben McGlynn is an outside chance to be considered for senior selection for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Adelaide at the SCG.

McGlynn played just his second match back from a calf injury against the Norther Territory Thunder in Darwin.

The speedy forward played on the ball in his restricted game time of 80 minutes as he continues in his bid to return to the senior side.

McGlynn collected 23 disposals against the Thunder to go along with 11 tackles highlighting his trademark pressure around the contest.

NEAFL Coach Marty Mattner said he was impressed with the performance from the 29-year-old.

“Benny’s intensity was really good around the ball which is one of his strengths, his hit at the footy as well as chase, tackle and pressure were all really impressive,” Mattner said.

“He played just under 80 minutes so that was really good for him coming back from injury.

“He will just keep building on that over the next few weeks and will be looking for senior selection in the next few weeks.”
