THERE have been many myths, legends and tales on the whereabouts of the fountain of youth. To have an opportunity to drink from the ‘water of life’, some have searched for the elusive and legendary springs for centuries from the times when the Egyptians were constructing great pyramids to the Vikings sailing the high seas and all of the king's horses and all of the king's men battling in blood baths for the holy grail.
Scientists create potions and inject tomatoes with yeast, big time celebrities jab themselves with poison and adventurers still to this day take on the Himalayas in the hope to turn back the clock.
Now don’t be alarmed but I think I know where the fountain of youth is… … THE SCG!
On Saturday night against those Bulldogs, The Silver Fox (a.k.a. Brett) found something special. He ran around like he was 27 again! His wonderful Blood Brothers, the coaches, Swans staff and the supporters came together to create some kind of magic, a portal, another realm where fairytales are fact and everyone does live happily ever after.
So from our heart to yours, a gigantuan thank you filled with love and light for making Brett’s final game at the SCG a most wondrous event. The energy that was bouncing around there that night will last a lifetime.
Enough of looking back, time to look onwards as we head into our last round game at the Gabba and into the finals. Exciting times for the red and the white!
