Dan Hannebery is doing everything in his powers to reel in AFLCA Player of the Year Award favourite Nat Fyfe.
Hannebery was awarded with a full quota of votes from the coaches after collecting 36 disposals in the Swans' thrilling four-point win over Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday night.
Swans coach John Longmire and Hawks counterpart Alastair Clarkson thought Hannebery's effort, which included four tackles and seven clearances, was a class above and deserving of 10 votes.
The haul leaves Hannebery 22 votes behind Fremantle midfielder and overall leader Nat Fyfe who edged futher ahead after a his day out in the Dockers' big win over North Melbourne.
Hannebery is the highest placed Swan on the overall leaderboard, with Josh Kennedy (7th) and Luke Parker (10th) also featuring in the top 10 with 29 and 27 votes respectively.
Parker was elevated after Longmire and Clarkson awarded the reigning Club Champ six votes for collecting 26 disposals in the win while Sam Reid and Jarrad McVeigh also caught the coaches' eyes.
