Josh Kennedy, Callum Sinclair and Heath Grundy all polled AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player of the Year votes in the Sydney Swans’ clash with North Melbourne at the SCG on Saturday.
Kennedy (four votes) was judged the Swans’ best in a performance marked with a game-high 31 possessions (18 contested) and nine tackles, 10 inside 50s and nine clearances.
The skipper’s game followed a starring performance against the Geelong Cats the week prior which yielded a near-perfect nine votes.
Sinclair (three votes) collected 20 disposals, 27 hit-outs and a goal in the match with the Roos, while Grundy (two) fired with 22 touches and a game-high 11 marks.
Sinclair had joined Kennedy in polling nine votes in the Cats clash.
North’s Shaun Higgins and Mason Wood (nine votes apiece) were judged best afield in the SCG clash, while Ben Jacobs (two) and Ed Vickers-Willis (one) also fired.
