Take a look back on an exciting afternoon for Callum Mills as he became the third Swans player to be crowned the AFL Rising Star.

Sydney Swans defender Callum Mills has been crowned the 2016 AFL Rising Star award winner.

Mills becomes the first player born in New South Wales to win the award and the third Swan to take out the prestiougus honour.

AFL Photos was on hand to capture all the emotion as the 19-year-old took out the award on Tuesday.

As part of the club’s partnership with Qatar Airways, players and staff undertook historical and cultural experiences, visited some of Doha’s favourite tourist destinations and experienced training, educational and professional development opportunities.
