Still on a high following Round 8’s nail-biting win against Essendon, the Sydney Swans headed to the Capitol Theatre on Sunday evening to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical.
Swans players Harry Cunningham, Jordan Dawson, Jackson Thurlow and Darcy Cameron and their partners were taken inside Willie Wonka’s famous Chocolate Factory during the hit show.
The musical, based on Roald Dahl’s famous book, has been a hit worldwide featuring songs from the original film and plenty of imaginative additions.
After the performance, the players even got the chance to meet some of the crew, who as the players found out, keep a close eye on the red and white.
Click on the video player above to hear from lead actress Lucy Maunder, who plays Charlie Bucket’s mum, Mrs Bucket.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical is offering Swans members and supporters an exclusive 50 per cent off premium and a reserve tickets to a number of its upcoming performances.
