The Sydney Swans are pleased to announce Jenny McAsey has accepted the role of General Manager - Communications.? ?

McAsey has been a Senior Journalist at The Australian newspaper, based in Sydney, for the past 16 years, and her 25-year career in the media also includes roles at The Age and ABC Radio.?

She has won several awards for her reporting, notably the Australian Football Media Association’s Most Outstanding Feature Writer (2007) for a series of stories on the Swans.?

“I have had a really enjoyable career at The Australian and I am grateful for the opportunities that came my way, however I feel the time is right for me to make this change,” McAsey said following her appointment.?

“The Club is a fantastic organisation and I have an obvious passion for football and the Swans. I look forward to working more closely with people I have known from the other side of the tape recorder.?

“From a journalist’s perspective, the Swans have always been a great Club to deal with. But now, at a critical time for the AFL in Sydney, I hope to help further enhance the Club’s profile in the Sydney market.”?

McAsey will commence work at the Swans on December 1.? ?
