Scans have confirmed that Sydney Swans ruckman Kurt Tippett has suffered an acute ankle sprain.
Tippett landed awkwardly following a marking contest midway through the first quarter of Sydney’s Round 2 clash with the Western Bulldogs.
The big man had scans on Friday night that cleared him of any bone damage, with further tests confirming a sprain.
The Swans will confirm Tippett’s prognosis for returning to play on Monday but he appears certain to miss Friday night’s match against Collingwood at the SCG.
