Live wire forward Lewis Taylor couldn’t be happier with his start to his career at the Sydney Swans after a stand out three goal performance on Sunday.
The 2014 Rising Star winner joined the Swans during the trade period in exchange for a third-round selection and has impressed since arriving at the SCG.
In just his second match for the Club on Sunday the 175cm forward provided an important x-factor in the forward line including a miraculous goal from the pocket.
Taylor is pleased with how his career has started in the red and white.
“It’s been great the start so far, everyone has been really welcoming so I couldn’t be happier,” Taylor said.
“The game plan, how people play and meeting new people at the Club in general has all been new.
“I am enjoying playing with a group of these guys that I have played against for so many years so it is good to play with some good players.
“In terms of training and stuff like that it is all pretty similar (to Brisbane).”
The 25-year-old is confident his team is ready for the trip to Melbourne to take on North Melbourne this weekend.
“We just need to get that four-quarter game together and hopefully this weekend after training this week we can look to pull that off against North."
“Obviously these are shorter games so it is obviously important to get off to a good start especially this year.
“We know our best footy is definitely good enough against every team so we will try and get that right this weekend against North.
“Hopefully we can get the four points this week.”
The Sydney Swans match against North Melbourne starts at 1.45pm at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, June 20.
