Gary Rohan, Tom Derickx and first-year player George Hewett have been named in the Sydney Swans’ extended squad ahead of this Sunday’s round 16 clash with the West Coast Eagles at Patersons Stadium.
If selected, Rohan will play his sixth game for the season, while Derickx will be looking to add to his impressive first year at the Swans, which has seen him play 12 games to date.
Hewett, who was taken at pick 32 in the 2013 National Draft, has been named as an emergency for the first time this season and could be in line to make his AFL debut if selected this weekend.
Sunday’s match will also mark a milestone for Swans champion Adam Goodes, who will play his 341st game, which will see him break the record for the most number of VFL/AFL games played by an Indigenous player, overtaking Adelaide Crows great Andrew McLeod.
The final 22 for Sunday afternoon’s game will be announced on sydneyswans.com.au at 5:00pm on Friday, July 4.
