Young midfielder Tom Mitchell will miss Saturday’s NEAFL clash against Belconnen at Kippax Oval due to a minor knee injury.

Mitchell received a knock on the knee during last weekend’s NEAFL game, and despite playing out the match, he was unable to get through training on Thursday due to some soreness.

The 21-year-old has endured a frustrating run with injury this season, but this latest setback is expected to sideline him for just one week.

After this weekend’s round of matches, all Swans players will have a week off for the bye, with Mitchell expected to be available for selection the following week.

Mitchell has played four senior matches this season.
